Our Therapists

Jette Rasmussen

Jette qualified as a Soft Tissue Therapist with the London School of Sports Massage in 1995, focusing on Sports and Remedial Massage and Soft Tissue manipulation. She has worked with athletes and non athletes alike in all things soft tissue related, working mainly with hands-on techniques. “I work with a holistic approach” says Jette, “and I always take the time to fully understand the client’s background, medical history and current situation to get a full picture that will influence how I treat them. Being able to help people is a real privilege and I love working in the clinic”. In 28 years as a therapist Jette has helped people with a wide range of problems, some of which could be due to general tension, aches and pains, while others might be injury related due to sports or the client’s occupation. As well as sports massage and soft tissue manipulation, she also provides lovely relaxing massages including pre-natal and post-natal massage and lymphatic drainage massage. She also provides kinesiology taping and is a qualified RockDoc with RockTape.

As well as being a therapist, Jette is also a qualified Pilates instructor and runs weekly, termtime classes. “I love teaching smaller groups so I can allow for individual abilities and keep an eye on everybody. It enables me to help out and prevent any injuries”. The knowledge and experience that she has gained as a therapist feeds into the lessons to create an informative, safe and supportive atmosphere in which to practice Pilates. Towards the end of some classes there is a relaxation phase where she uses her qualification in guided Mindfulness to create a blissful moment to restore and recharge.
